Hope is not a strategy - Danish business is!
Despite global shocks, low growth in several European countries, and increased geopolitical uncertainty, the Danish economy remains strong. Employment is high, public finances are solid, and companies are driving growth and exports. What really explains this resilience – and how can Denmark maintain and develop this strength in a rapidly changing world?
In the 18th edition of our Small Great Nation report, we focus on the central role of companies in the Danish societal model. In close interaction with stable institutions and a flexible labour market, companies contribute not only to economic activity but also to the transition and adaptation to structural changes such as demographics, international competition, and technological development. The report provides an analytical perspective on the mechanisms that support the strength of the Danish economy in a time characterised by significant uncertainty.
