Since the mid-00s, a number of reforms have been implemented in Denmark, which have increased prosperity and improved public finances. We call them the “low-hanging fruits”. In the future, we need to harvest the “high-hanging fruit” in order to increase prosperity and welfare for the benefit of the Danes. But what does it take for us to reach them?

This third report from Kraka and Deloitte presents brand new research on the future labour market as we examine themes such as education, foreign labour and those on the edge of the labour market.

In the report we focus on the high-hanging fruits, i.e. reforms and initiatives that can increase overall prosperity and welfare in Denmark. Although the winnings may require more effort, it is worthwhile to reach for the high-hanging fruits. The report shows that further reforms might be necessary to ensure the sustainability of the Danish economy in the future.

Øget velstand og kortere ugentlig arbejdstid

I denne analyse udfordrer vi den generelle opfattelse af, at de danske offentlige finanser nu er endegyldigt holdbare. Danskerne har i mange år, bl.a. via aftaler mellem arbejdsmarkedets parter, vekslet en del af den økonomiske fremgang til en kortere arbejdstid. De højthængende frugter

Siden midten af 00’erne er der gennemført en række reformer i Danmark, som har øget velstanden og forbedret de offentlige finanser. Dem kalder vi de lavthængende frugter. Fremover skal vi høste de højthængende frugter, hvis vi fortsat vil øge velstanden og velfærden til gavn for danskerne. Men hvad skal der til for, at vi kan nå dem?

Stress - en ny folkesygdom?

Et stigende stressniveau er et samfundsproblem fordi det medfører større personlige og samfundsmæssige omkostninger i form af tabt livsglæde, større behandlingsomkostninger og tabt produktion. Der eksisterer ikke solid dokumentation for udviklingen i stressomfanget på nationalplan. Vi har derfor opstillet en indikator for udviklingen af stress.
